Kora

Kora is a currency found in Akaria, Yakinia, and other countries.

Appearance

Kora is a plastic bill that holds up in water, stress, folds, and nature. The only way to deem the bill unusable is to shred the bill. On the bill itself is the Akaria Coat of Arms, the current leader of the country, a color, and alien braille.

How valuable is kora?

Minimum wage in Pennsylvania is $7.25 an hour. Minimum wage in Akaria is 15 kora an hour. A loaf of bread is about $2.80. So that must mean, proportionally, a loaf of bread in Akaria is about 6 kora.

History

Kora started off as any other currency, gold and silver. Little, evenly weighted, nuggets were in everyone's purses at one point in time. Things would cost a certain number of nuggets. Silver was the small change and gold was the bulk, being many times more valuable than silver. When people didn't have much gold but a ton of silver, they would trade in the silver for gold to have less things to count. But this system was tedious and practically no one liked it. The Yakinian Government slowly introduced paper bills. But their problem is that they can be fabricated pretty easily. So they slowly introduced a strong, plastic bill that is practically indistructable by the hand and nearly impossible to replicate.
